Overview#

Humanity has long treated “information” as a single concept, but TriadicFrameworks reveals a deeper structure: information exists in two distinct regimes.

  • In‑Formation — the 1/3 seen, embodied, form‑bound regime
  • Information — the 2/3 unseen, non‑form, multi‑time regimes

This distinction corrects a foundational misunderstanding in both Information Theory and Information Technology. What we historically called “IT” was actually In‑Formation Technology, while true Information Technology belongs to the cognitive, semantic, and multi‑time layers.

This document formalizes the distinction.


1. Regime Model#

TriadicFrameworks divides all phenomena into three regime types:

  • 1/3 Form Regime (“Now Here”)
    Embodied, measurable, structured, physical.

  • 2/3 Non‑Form Regimes (“Nowhere”)
    Distributed, resonant, conceptual, multi‑time.

2. In‑Formation Theory#

Humanity named the field incorrectly.

What we call “Information Technology”#
