Poker Night Custom Games
1. Ascending Wild Cards#
- Setup: Standard poker deck, dealer rotates left each round.
- Wilds: Start with 2’s wild; next dealer’s round → 3’s wild; continues ascending.
- Opening Requirement: Trips (three of a kind) to open betting.
- Win Condition: Straight or better.
- Flow:
- Everyone antes.
- Dealer deals, players check for trips to open.
- If no opener, hand is tossed, next dealer, ante again.
- Continue until someone opens; play to showdown.
2. Red Delilah#
- Low Hole Rule: Lowest card in each player’s hand is wild for that player.
- Side Pot: Lowest diamond in any player’s hand wins side pot.
- Side Pot Funding:
- Initial side ante (e.g., $0.10 if main ante is $1).
- Every main bet matched with same amount into side pot.
- Deal: 2 down, 4 up, 1 down.
- Last Card “Down and Dirty”:
- Player may pay (e.g., $0.25) to have last card dealt face up.
- Strategic if they believe they have lowest diamond down.
3. Suits#
- Objective: Compete for 4 separate pots (one per suit).
- Deal: 6 cards per player.
- Draws: Two draws — first up to 3 cards, second 1 card.
- Scoring:
- Count cards in each suit; Aces = 11 points.
- Highest total in each suit wins that suit’s pot.
- Ties split pot.
-Note: Players often “save” suits strategically.
4. Man’s Tonk#
- Goal: Be last player with quarters (bets).
- Setup: Each player starts with 3 stacks of quarters.
- Deal: 1 card per player.
- Special Cards:
- Kings: Safe — revealed immediately, cannot be traded.
- Queens: Highest card, always traded away; Black/Red Queens are wild.
- Play:
- Player may trade with left neighbor unless they have a King.
- Last player may draw from deck.
- Highest card loses a stack; ties both lose a stack.
- Play continues until one player remains.
5. Spit in the Ocean (Low Hole / Super Mega Colon Blow)#
- Deal: 5 cards to each player.
- Spit Card: During deal, someone calls “spit” — next card dealt face up as wild for all.
- Draws: First draw up to 3 cards, second draw 1 card.
- Side Pots: 8 total — highest and lowest card of each suit.
- Funding: Fixed ante per side pot (e.g., $0.35 each).
- Main Pot: Only main pot receives betting.
6. Crisscross 4 Corners#
- Opener: Jacks or better to open.
- Win Condition: Trips or better to win.
- Layout: Dealer lays 5 down cards in a cross pattern.
- Usage: Players may use up to 3 cards from corners only; center card is wild, revealed last betting round.
- Flow: Multiple deals possible before opener appears; antes/bets accumulate.
7. 6 Card Double Draw#
- Deal: 6 cards per player.
- Draws: First draw up to 3 cards, second draw 1 card.
- Wilds: None.
- Win Condition: Standard poker hand rankings.
8. Double-Headed Anaconda#
- Setup: 2 pots, one for each of the two best hands.
- Deal: 11 cards per player.
- Passing:
- Pass 3 left → bet.
- Pass 2 left → bet.
- Pass 1 left → bet.
- Last player in pass chain draws from deck.
- Showdown: Players set two hands; each pot awarded to best hand in that slot.
- Deal: 8 cards face down; no peeking out of turn.
- Play:
- Bet, then flip one card.
- Continue betting/flipping until showdown.
- Wilds: 3’s and 9’s.
- Twist: Stop flipping once a player beats previous best; rotate lead.
10. Inbetween Sans Serif (Non-poker)#
- Decks: Up to 3 decks shuffled together.
- Pot: $2 ante per player.
- Play:
- Dealer lays first card; if Ace, ask “high or low.”
- Dealer lays second card.
- Player may bet up to $2 to draw a card between the two.
- If wrong, lose bet; if “pot” called and wrong, match entire pot.
- Ace Rules: First Ace declared high/low; second Ace auto-high.
- End: After 3 decks or dealer change, pot split among remaining players.
