Scene 1 — Arrival at the Reflecting Pool#

Purpose#

Introduce Little Light, establish the domain of Light, and present the Reflecting Pool as the central environment.

Narrative Summary#

Little Light arrives at the Guild’s Reflecting Pool, a calm surface that reveals more than it reflects. The Master awaits, standing at the water’s edge.

Emotional Tone#

Curiosity, brightness, slight self‑consciousness.

Visual Identity Notes#

  • Bright morning light
  • Soft reflections
  • Cloak edges catching prismatic highlights

Animation Micro‑Beats#

  • Ripples forming around footsteps
  • Light shifting across water
  • Master’s silhouette steady and centered

Scene 2 — The First Glimpse#

Purpose#

Challenge Little Light’s assumptions about what “light” means.

Narrative Summary#

The Master asks Little Light what he sees in the water. Little Light describes surface details, but the Master encourages him to look deeper — not with eyes, but with attention.

Emotional Tone#

Uncertainty, introspection.

Visual Identity Notes#

  • Subtle brightness shifts
  • Reflections bending slightly
  • Soft prismatic hints

Animation Micro‑Beats#

  • Water surface shimmering
  • Light bending gently
  • Little Light leaning closer

Scene 3 — The Lesson of Illumination#

Purpose#

Reveal the true nature of Light: illumination as understanding.

Narrative Summary#

Emotional Tone#

Awe, conceptual shift.

Visual Identity Notes#

  • Water brightens from within
  • Hidden shapes emerge softly
  • Master’s hand gesture minimal

Animation Micro‑Beats#

  • Pattern appears, then fades

Scene 4 — The Prism Practice#

Purpose#

Little Light attempts his first illumination practice using a small prism.

Narrative Summary#

Little Light holds a prism above the pool, trying to create clarity. At first, the light scatters chaotically. Only when he steadies his breath does the prism reveal a coherent beam.

Emotional Tone#

Frustration → focus → breakthrough.

Visual Identity Notes#

  • Prismatic colors
  • Beam forming slowly
  • Water responding with soft radiance

Animation Micro‑Beats#

  • Prism wobble → steady
  • Light scattering → aligning
  • Beam touching water surface

Scene 5 — The Light of Honesty#

Purpose#

Teach that illumination requires emotional honesty.

Narrative Summary#

Little Light encounters a moment of self‑doubt. The Master guides him to acknowledge it rather than hide it. When he does, the prism brightens — revealing that light responds to truth.

Emotional Tone#

Vulnerability → honesty → warmth.

Visual Identity Notes#

  • Warm glow
  • Prism brightening
  • Water reflecting emotional clarity

Animation Micro‑Beats#

  • Light flicker → steady glow
  • Prism radiance increasing

Clarity, resolve, quiet pride.

Visual Identity Notes#

  • Dusk gradient (violet → gold)
  • Soft radiance around apprentice
  • Water perfectly still
