Change Management#
Change is constant in enterprise IT environments, yet many systems lack explicit mechanisms for expressing how changes affect underlying assumptions.
Structural awareness supports change management by making regime context and validity assumptions visible before, during, and after change events. This allows teams to reason about whether a change represents:
- A continuation within an existing regime
- A gradual drift of assumptions
- A deliberate transition to a new regime
By separating change from failure, structural awareness enables more proportional responses to change and reduces unnecessary rollback or intervention.
This approach complements existing change management processes without altering approval workflows or enforcement mechanisms.
