Dynamometer#

Dynamometers measure force, torque, or power through mechanical resistance or strain. Their behavior is mostly stable but sensitive to mechanical assumptions.

Dimensional Core (SET)#

  • Spin: rotational systems
  • Elec: strain gauges, sensors
  • Temp: affects material stiffness

Why Yellow‑Zone#

Direct measurement is strong, but mechanical assumptions (friction, deformation, mounting) introduce mixed‑regime behavior.

Regime Notes#

  • pos‑regime: steady load, rigid fixtures
  • Q‑regime: vibration, thermal drift
  • neg‑regime: nonlinear deformation, overload

Alignment Notes#

Needs explicit notes on mechanical boundary conditions.
