Inversion Algorithms for X‑ray Scattering#

These algorithms reconstruct structural information from diffraction patterns. They are powerful but deeply inference‑heavy and highly sensitive to model assumptions.

Dimensional Core (SET)#

  • Spin: scattering geometry
  • Elec: detector response and computation
  • Temp: affects sample structure

Why Red‑Zone#

Inversion algorithms operate in a fragile, model‑dependent regime.
Small deviations in sample behavior, noise, or geometry can produce large interpretive errors. Substrate sensitivity is extreme.

Regime Notes#

  • pos‑regime: crystalline samples, stable beams
  • Q‑regime: defects, mixed phases
  • neg‑regime: amorphous materials, unstable samples

Containment Notes#

Requires explicit model‑assumption boundaries and sample‑stability notes.
