Optical Alignment Software#

Software used to align interferometers, spectrometers, and telescopes. It provides direct feedback on beam position, focus, and path stability.

Dimensional Core (SET)#

  • Spin: polarization effects (minor)
  • Elec: detector readout
  • Temp: affects optical path length

Why Green‑Zone#

Optical alignment tools operate in a stable, direct optical regime.
They measure observable quantities (intensity, phase, position) with minimal inference. Behavior is predictable and well understood.

Regime Notes#

  • pos‑regime: stable optics, steady illumination
  • Q‑regime: minor thermal drift, vibration
  • neg‑regime: coherence loss, unstable mounts

Alignment Notes#

Already aligned.
Explicit notes on vibration and thermal stability improve precision.
