Thermometer#

Thermometers measure temperature through direct physical changes in materials or electronic sensing. Their behavior is stable, predictable, and grounded in well‑characterized thermodynamic principles.

Dimensional Core (SET)#

  • Spin: not relevant
  • Elec: relevant for electronic thermometers
  • Temp: primary measurement axis

Why Green‑Zone#

Thermometers operate in a clean, coherent thermal regime.
Their measurement principle is direct: expansion, resistance change, or junction voltage. Calibration is robust, drift is predictable, and environmental sensitivity is minimal.

Regime Notes#

  • pos‑regime: steady temperature, stable materials
  • Q‑regime: rapid temperature changes, mixed‑phase systems
  • neg‑regime: extreme thermal shocks, unstable chemical reactions

Alignment Notes#

Already aligned.
Only note: ensure clear boundaries when measuring rapidly changing or multi‑phase systems.
