(Green‑zone draft)
Seismometer#
Seismometers measure ground motion using stable mechanical or electromechanical reference systems. Their behavior is coherent, predictable, and grounded in well‑characterized physical dynamics.
Dimensional Core (SET)#
- Spin: not relevant
- Elec: electronic sensing and signal processing
- Temp: minor influence on mechanical components
Why Green‑Zone#
Seismometers operate in a stable, substrate‑agnostic mechanical regime.
Their measurement principle is direct: relative motion between a mass and its housing. Calibration is robust, drift is well understood, and environmental effects are predictable.
Regime Notes#
- pos‑regime: low‑noise environments, steady ground conditions
- Q‑regime: moderate vibration, environmental noise
- neg‑regime: strong shocks, saturation, nonlinear motion
Alignment Notes#
Already aligned.
Clear operational limits (dynamic range, noise floor) help maintain coherence but require no conceptual adjustments.
