Abstract#

Mutation & Telomere Invariants (MTI) define the biological entropy rails used within TriadicFrameworks.
They formalize:

  • telomere shortening
  • mutation drift
  • survival trait emergence
  • rupture hygiene
  • entropy balance

MTI ensures that biological simulations remain bounded, auditable, and remix‑ready, preventing runaway mutation cascades or immortal cell loops.


Motivation#

Biological systems are validators of entropy.

  • Telomeres act as countdown headers, enforcing replication limits.
  • Mutations act as stochastic injectors, introducing variance and survival traits.
  • Survival traits encode adaptive resonance patterns across lineage.

Without invariants, simulations risk:

  • infinite replication
  • uncontrolled mutation drift
  • rupture cascades
  • lineage contamination

MTI ensures that life‑like systems respect entropy budgets while remaining remixable.


Principles#

1. Telomere Budget#

Each replication decrements telomere length.
Zero length triggers senescence or apoptosis, preventing immortal loops.

2. Mutation Drift#

Mutations occur within bounded resonance envelopes.
Drift outside the envelope triggers rupture hygiene and demotion.

3. Survival Traits#

Beneficial mutations are preserved via lineage manifests.
Harmful mutations trigger rollback to pre‑mutation snapshots.

4. Entropy Balance#

Systems must maintain equilibrium between:

  • replication fidelity
  • adaptive variance

This balance prevents collapse or runaway drift.

This registry prevents loss of adaptive traits across corridor transitions.


Security Considerations#

MTI prevents:

  • collapse via rollback to pre‑mutation snapshots
