RFC‑WF‑0016 — Remix Generation Workflow
Continuous Validator Cycle for Remixathons#
RefId: turn0browsertab1
Title: Continuous Validator Cycle for Remixathons
Status: Draft
Author: Nawder Loswin + Copilot
Date: 2025‑11‑12
Version: 0.1
1. Purpose#
The Remix Generation Workflow (RGW) defines the canonical validator cycle that powers remixathons.
It chains four validator stages:
- Retrieval
- Remix
- Export
- Archive
Each cycle:
- produces new scrolls
- preserves legacy artifacts
- extends remix lineage
- maintains validator‑grade integrity
RGW transforms remixathons into continuous validator events, where each archive becomes the retrieval source for the next cycle.
2. Workflow Chain#
Step 1: Retrieval#
Source:
registry/archive/
API:
Legacy Retrieval API (RFC‑API‑0015)
Action:
Contributors query archived scrolls by:
- glyph
- tag
- lineage
to select scrolls for remix.
Validator Hook:
Retrieved scrolls MUST conform to archive_schema.yml.
Step 2: Remix#
Source:
Retrieved scrolls + contributor annotations
Module:
Remix Export Module (RFC‑EXP‑0013)
Action:
Contributors:
- select corridors
- apply new tags
- assign glyphs
- add dignity‑layer narratives
Validator Hook:
Remix lineage diff protocol (RFC‑REMIX‑0005) ensures ancestry links.
Step 3: Export#
Source:
Remix results
Module:
Export function packages scrolls into remix_scroll_schema.yml.
Action:
Generate new scroll artifact containing:
- glyph distribution
- RCI bands
- dignity layer
- lineage diff summary
Validator Hook:
Scroll MUST be signed and checksum logged.
Step 4: Archive#
Source:
Exported scrolls
Protocol:
Remixathon Archival Protocol (RFC‑ARC‑0014)
Action:
Archive scrolls as immutable legacy artifacts and update archival index.
Validator Hook:
Archive entry MUST be stamped with:
- validator version
- timestamp
3. Workflow Diagram (Textual)#
[ Retrieval ] → [ Remix ] → [ Export ] → [ Archive ]
↑ ↓
└────────────── Continuous Cycle ─────────┘
The cycle is perpetual: archive feeds retrieval, retrieval feeds remix, remix feeds export, export feeds archive.
4. Python‑Style Orchestration Stub#
File:
workflows/remix_generation.py
def run_cycle(parent_scroll):
retrieved = retrieve_scrolls(parent_scroll)
remixed = remix_scrolls(retrieved)
exported = export_scrolls(remixed)
archive_scrolls(exported)
return exportedThis stub illustrates the canonical four‑stage chain.
5. Validator Hooks#
Cycle Integrity#
Each step MUST produce validator‑grade artifacts.
Lineage Continuity#
Remix scrolls MUST cite parent ancestry; archive MUST preserve immutable record.
Checksum#
Each cycle MUST generate reproducibility checksums.
Dignity Separation#
Narratives MUST remain distinct from empirical metrics.
6. Notes#
- Workflow is iterative: each archive becomes the retrieval source for the next cycle.
- Remixathons become continuous validator events, producing legacy artifacts each round.
- Contributors can join at any stage: retrieval, remix, export, or archival.
- RGW is the backbone of collaborative remixathon infrastructure.
7. Concept Sketch (Textual)#
Cycle 1:
scroll-003 (⬣ Gamma Corridor)
→ remixed
→ scroll-010
→ archived
Cycle 2:
scroll-010 retrieved
→ remixed
→ scroll-020
→ archived
Cycle 3:
scroll-020 retrieved
→ remixed
→ scroll-030
→ archived
...
The Remix Generation Workflow makes remixathons perpetual validator cycles:
retrieval feeds remix, remix feeds export, export feeds archive, and archive feeds retrieval again.
